The event schedule also notes an anglers meeting at the Miramichi Civic Centre on Friday, May 22, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Tourism New Brunswick notes that more than $100,000 in cash and prizes are awarded each year.
For the May 2026 team division, the official event site lists:
- $6,000 for first place
- $3,500 for second place
- $2,500 for third place
